Hint #1 - The Crystal Ball
On the lower screen, in the top right corner of the playing area, the next piece to fall will be displayed. DON'T get confused as to which piece
you're dropping. But, even more important than that, don't rush too quickly into making a 3x3 megasquare if you can't maintain it by creating
another with the next piece. Try to create a double row across the bottom of the screen before you start to create 3x3 megasquares so that
you have multiple options of where to place future pieces. Don't forget: the more individual squares on the board you can convert to fuel (by making
3x3 megasquares) at one time, the higher the value that each one will be worth (both in distance and in coins).
Hint #2 - Don't Suffer From Tetris Brain
(This hint is specifically aimed at people who've played Tetris.)
One of the tendencies while playing Trioncube is to fall into Tetris mode: fill that line, don't cover anything up, fill deep holes whenever
possible. While these moves may sometime be the right move in Trioncube, they will often be the wrong moves. When playing Trioncube, all you need to
think is one thing: "Complete the next 3x3 megasquare."
Hint #3 - It's A Cover-Up
Did you get an oddly shaped piece and you don't have anywhere you can put it without covering up an empty space? Don't worry! Cover something up!
Unlike Tetris, getting to the top of the screen is a good thing (as long as built your "tower" on 3x3 megasquares). When you run out of space or get
to the top of the screen, all those squares will drop off the screen and, if you had 3x3 megasquares underneath where the empty space was, it'll be
filled in by falling blocks at that time.
Hint #4 - Turn Junk Into Funk
Junk squares can be annoying and often disruptive (or even painful). Junk squares will remain junk squares until a 3x3 megasquare is formed
without the use of junk squares. When that happens, any junk squares that could contribute to a second (or third or fourth, etc.)
3x3 megasquare will change from being junk squares to being a part of a 3x3 megasquare. If you had 2 or (almost) 3 rows along the bottom of the screen
before you started creatig 3x3 megasquares and before the junk squares arrives, a simple 3x3 megasquare on top of the junk might be able to convert
most (or all) of the screen at once!
Hint #5 - Start A Savings Account
Have a specific type or art or effect you want to unlock? Save up the coins for it first and don't unlock anything else until you have that amount
of coins saved up first.
