Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
NOTE: Part of the opening credits can be skipped by pressing the Start button.
3. When "Press the A Button or Start" appears on the lower screen, the host taps anywhere on the lower screen or presses the "A" button or the Start button.
Downloading
1. There are two gameplay modes that are available via Single-Card Download: VS Match & Brawl.
2. In VS Match, two players can each command a team in team-vs-team dodgeball combat.
3. In Brawl, up to eight players can play in an "every man/woman for themself" battle.
1. The host taps on "VS Match" (the second option from the top) twice.
2. The host taps on "Download" (the bottom option) twice.
3. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "Super Dodgeball Brawlers", the guests tap on it.
6. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
7. When the inital download is complete, the host taps the "OK" that appears in the bottom right corner of the lower screen (or presses the "A" button).
8. When "Play with these members?" appears, the host taps "Yes" twice (to confirm) or "No" (to back up) on the lower screen.
1. The host taps on "Brawl" (the middle option/third option from the top) twice.
2. The host taps on "Download" (the bottom option) twice.
3. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "Super Dodgeball Brawlers", the guests tap on it.
6. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
7. The host waits for their Nintendo DS system to say that all guests trying to connect are connected.
8. When the inital download is complete, the host taps the "OK" that appears in the bottom right corner of the lower screen (or presses the "A" button).
9. When "Play with these members?" appears, the host taps "Yes" twice (to confirm) or "No" (to back up) on the lower screen.
Game/Feature/Options Selection
(There are no selectable options).
Game Controls / How To Play
1. Direction Pad - Move your character; to dash, press left or right twice quickly.
2. "A" Button - Pass the ball (when holding it), Dodge a throw (when targeted), Use an object (when holding one), or Pick up the ball or an object
3. "B" Button - Shoot the ball (when holding it), Catch a throw (when targeted), Throw an object (when holding one), or Pick up the ball or an object
4. "A" Button & "B" button as the same time - Jump
7. Start Button - Pause the game
8. Touch Screen - When the Nekketsu Burst Gauge is full, tap the lower screen to temporarily raise your team's attack and defense (VS Match) or just yours (Brawl).
9. To perform an Aerial SuperShot - while dashing, jump and hit the "B" button while at the highest point of the jump
10. To perform a Ground SuperShot - while dashing, press the "B" button exactly five steps into the dash
What To Look For
1. On the upper screen, players' icons and names are displayed along the top of the screen.
2. On the upper screen, each player's stamina is displayed under their name.
3. On the upper screen, human players (1P, 2P, 3P, 4P, 5P, 6P, 7P, and 8P) are labeled.
4. On the upper screen, the current target is labeled Target.
5. On the lower screen, your team's Nekketsu Burst Gauge is in the top left corner (VS Match only).
6. On the lower screen, your opponent's team's Nekektsu Burst Gauge is in the top right corner (VS Match only).
7. On the lower screen, when your Nekketsu Burst Gauge is filled, an icon will appear in the center of the screen.
8. On the lower screen, your character's name and available SuperShots are shown in the bottom left corner.
9. On the lower screen, your opponent's name and available SuperShots are shown in the bottom right corner (VS Match only).
Overall Goals
1. Be the last team with any players left on the field (players around the outside of the field don't count).
3. Don't get hit with anything.
4. Don't get punched or kicked.
