Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
Downloading
1. The host taps on "Multiplayer" (the second bar from the top).
2. The host taps on "Create Session" in the bottom right corner of the lower screen.
3. The host taps on "Sharing" (the bottom bar).
4. The guest will power on their Nintendo DS system.
5. The guest taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
6. When the graphic bar appears saying "Shaun White Snowboarding", the guest taps on it.
7. The guest's DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".

Game Controls / How To Play
1. Basic Directional Movements...
1a. All of the basic directional movements are made using the touch screen by touching specific locations on the screen.
1b. Speed Up: Touch (and hold) the stylus above the snowboard, near the top of the lower screen.
1c. Slow Down: Touch (and hold) the stylus below the snowboard, near the bottom of the lower screen.
1d. Move Left: Touch (and hold) the stylus to the left of the snowboard, near the left edge of the lower screen.
1e. Move Right: Touch (and hold) the stylus to the right of the snowboard, near the right edge of the lower screen.
2. Jump: Quickly (and without stopping in between) draw a line downward and then upward on the lower screen.
3a. When sliding on a rail (or other barrier), it's important to keep your balance by sliding the stylus left or right as necessary.
3b. A balance meter will appear in the center of the screen when sliding.
3c. If the meter indicates you're leaning left, lean more to the right by slowly sliding the stylus toward the right of side of the screen.
3d. If the meter indicates you're leaning right, lean more to the left by slowly sliding the stylus toward the left of side of the screen.
4a. In Single-Card Download play, completing tricks can provide a minor speed increase, but the score doesn't matter (it is a racing mode).
4b. To perform a trick, your snowboarder must be in mid-air.
4c. Tricks can be performed by holding in the "L" button and pressing a direction on the direction pad.
4d. Tricks can also be performed by holding in the "R" button and pressing a button.
4e. In addition to the "L" button (or the "R" button), press...
4e1. ...up on the direction pad (or the "X" button): Nose Grab
4e2. ...left on the direction pad (or the "Y" button): Melon
4e3. ...right on the direction pad (or the "A" button): Indy
4e4. ...down on the direction pad (or the "B" button): Tail Grab
What To Look For
1. On the upper screen, the snowboarders and the course are shown.
2. On the upper screen, your current standing is shown in the top left corner.
3. On the upper screen, the current amount of time elapsed is displayed in the top center of the screen.
4. On the upper screen, your total score is shown in the top right corner.
5. On the upper screen, the name of the trick (if one is performed) appears along the bottom edge of the screen.
6. On the upper screen, the success of the trick (if one is performed) appears beneath the amount of time elapsed.
7. On the lower screen, the current progress of the racers is displayed along the top edge of the screen.
8. On the lower screen, the number of circles indicates your speed (the more circles, the greater the speed).
9. On the lower screen, the direction the snowboard is aiming indicates the direction the snowboarder is heading.
10. On the lower screen, the length of the orange lines indicate your available turning radius.
