Game Controls / How To Play
1. The goal in Blackjack is to get a total card value closer to 21 than the dealer (the game) without going over 21.
2. To begin, each player bets by dragging 100-credit chips into the betting circle on the lower screen (anywhere from 1 to 5 of them, player's choice).
2a. Each player can lock in their bet by tapping the "Deal" button in the bottom right corner of the lower screen (or by pressing the "X" button).
2b. Each player can clear out their bet by tapping the "Clear" button to the left of the "Deal" button (or by pressing the "Y" button).
2c. The "Deal" button can be tapped with no bet in to automatically bet the minimum.
2d. After the first hand, the "Re-Bet" button will replace the "Clear" button.
3. Once the cards are dealt, players may have several options, depending on their cards, with on-screen buttons in the following order...
3a. Split (only if the two cards are the same value; creates two hands with two bets, each equal to the original bet).
3b. Surrender (cannot be used after a player taps "HIT"; quits the hand early with no chance to win, but saves half of the intial bet).
3c. Double (cannot be used after a player taps "HIT"; the player relies on ONLY one card draw, at double the bet/risk).
3d. Hit (also the "Y" button; the player is dealt a card).
3e. Stand (the player stays where they are at and draws no new cards).
4. After players complete their turns, the dealer (the game)'s turn is run automatically.
5. The dealer will automatically hit until the card count goes to 17 or above and then stop.
6. If the dealer has an Ace showing, the players can buy insurance to cover their loss in case the dealer has a Blackjack (a total of 21 on the opening 2 cards).
7. If a player busts (goes over 21), they lose.
8. If the dealer busts, all players that didn't bust win.
9. If the dealer and a player that both didn't bust have the same total, the game is a push (a tie) and the player gets their bet back.
10. If the dealer and a player that both didn't bust have different totals, the one close to 21 wins.
1. As the game begins, the blinds (a.k.a. antes - the money bet before any cards are revealed) are automatically bet.
