Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. The host taps "Enter Rock Revolution" in the top left corner of the lower screen.
4. If this is the first time the game has been played, the game will automatically start up the Introductory Walkthrough before allowing access to the main menu,
Downloading
1. The host taps on "Multiplayer" (the option on the left when first entering the menu.
2. The host taps on "Create Band" (the top option).
3. The host presses left on the direction pad or taps the left arrow to the left of "Co-op Mode" until "Co-op Mode" becomes "Single-Card Play".
4. The host taps "Next" (in the bottom right corner of the lower screen).
3. The guest will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "Rock Revolution", the guest taps on it.
6. The guest's DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
7. When the host's DS says that all guests trying to connect are connected, the host taps "Start" in the bottom right corner of the lower screen.
Pre-Game Acknowledgement Selection
1. The host taps "Ready" in the bottom right corner of their lower screen.
1. The guest taps "Ready" in the bottom right corner of their lower screen.
2. The host taps "Rock" in the bottom center of their lower screen.
Game Controls / How To Play
1. When the guitar appears on the screen, a circle will be present above where the guitar should be strummed.
2. During the game, arrows will come toward (and through) the circle from diagonal angles.
3. When an arrow pointing up passes through the circle, draw an upward line through the circle (and the arrow).
4. When an arrow pointing down passes through the circle, draw an downward line through the circle (and the arrow).
What To Look For
1. On the upper screen, your score is displayed in the bottom right corner.
2. On the upper screen, your opponent's score is displayed in the bottom left corner.
3. On the upper screen, the success meter and the progress meter are displayed along the bottom edge of the screen between the two scores.
4. On the lower screen, the guitar is displayed.
Overall Goals
2. Outscore your opponent.
