Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
NOTE: The credits can be sped up by repeatedly pressing the "A" button or tapping on the touch screen.
Downloading
1. At the main menu, the host taps the Pokémon Trozei! Mini Distribution icon along the bottom edge of the lower screen to the left of the wrench.
NOTE: This button looks like the Nintendo DS wireless symbol with the outlines of three people next to it.
2. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
3. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
4. When the graphic bar appears saying "Pokémon Trozei! Mini", the guests tap on it.
5. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
6. Each guest's download will begin automatically. Multiple guests do NOT need to all start their download at the same time..
Game/Feature/Options Selection
In Pokémon Trozei! Mini (the downloaded demo) there are six tappable options:
1a. Adventure mode is not available for play in Pokémon Trozei! Mini.
1b. If a guest taps on Adventure, they are shown some promotional information about Pokémon Trozei!.
2a. Endless is the Single-Player mode in Pokémon Trozei! Mini.

3a. Battle mode is a multiplayer Vs Play mode.
3b. A player with Pokémon Trozei! Mini can play against a player using the complete Pokémon Trozei!.
3c. Two players with Pokémon Trozei! Mini can also play against each other in Battle mode.
3d. For how to play Battle mode, see "Game Controls / How To Play" below.
4a. Pair mode is a multiplayer Co-op Play mode.
4b. A player with Pokémon Trozei! Mini can play against a player using the complete Pokémon Trozei!.
4c. Two players with Pokémon Trozei! Mini can also play against each other in Pair mode.

5a. The "How To Play" button, located near the bottom center of the touch screen, provides some basic instructions, mode descriptions, and a training mode.
5b. If a guest taps on Adventure, they are shown some promotional information about Pokémon Trozei!.
5c. The Training mode is accessed by tapping the "Training" button at the bottom of the lower screen.
5d. The Training mode provides a sampling of the gameplay that slowly increases in complexity.
6a. The settings option is located in the bottom right corner of the touch screen and is displayed as a yellow button with a wrench on it.
6b. The only setting that can be changed in Pokémon Trozei! Mini is the selected writing hand.
6c. The default setting is the right hand. If the desired hand is the right hand, tap the return arrow in the bottom right corner of the screen.
6d. To select the left hand, tap on the word "Left" and the blue check will move to the left of the "Left" button.
6e. If the change is successful, tap the return arrow in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Game Controls / How To Play
1. The game is controlled by dragging Pokémon left, right, down, and up.
2. To drag a Pokémon, touch it's face with the stylus. Without lifting the stylus from the screen, move the stylus left, right, down, or up.
NOTE: Only Pokémon on the lower screen can be manipulated. Pokémon on the upper screen must drop down to the lower screen before they can be affected.
3. If a Pokémon is pushed off the bottom of the lower screen, they re-enter at the top of the upper screen in the same column.
4. Whenever four Pokémon of the same type are connected in a straight line (row or column, not diagonally), they are "Trozeid" and leave the screen, rescued.
5. The same applies to any combination of four Pokémon and/or Dittos (Ditto is a transformation Pokémon and counts as all Pokémon at the same time).
6. Any hole opened when Pokémon are Trozeid are filled by the Pokémon above the hole, which fall down to fill it.
7. When four Pokémon are Trozeid, the "Trozei Chance" begins; this means that three-in-a-rows are accepted.
8. If there is at least one three-in-a-row that gets Trozeid, two-in-a-rows are accepted.
9. When three seconds have passed with no Pokémon being Trozeid, the "Trozei Chance" ends and the rules return to normal.
What To Look For (Right-Handed)
1. On the upper screen, the number of Pokémon remaining in the current level is displayed in the top left corner.
2. On the upper screen, the current mode (Endless, Battle, or Pair) and the current level are displayed in the box beneath the box with the number of remaining Pokémon.
3. On the upper screen, the percentage of the Pokémon List that's been Trozeid so far is displayed in the bottom left corner.
4. On the lower screen, the status of your opponent (Battle) or partner (Pair) is displayed along the left side.
5. On the lower screen, the words "Trozei Chance" appear in the box in the bottom left corner at the appropriate times.
6. On the lower screen, the current score is displayed in the bottom right corner.
7. On both of the screens, the playing field is located in the right 2/3 of the screens.
What To Look For (Left-Handed)

Overall Goals
1. Trozei four Pokémon, then three, then two.
2. Attempt to clear the screen.
3. Score as many points as possible.
4. Reach as high of a level as possible.
5. Increase your collection of the Trozei List.
6. Sink your opponent (Battle).
