Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. When "PRESS START" appears on the touch screen, the host taps anywhere on the touch screen or presses the Start button.
Downloading
1. The host taps "Wireless" (the option will be second from the bottom of the list is "Single Player" is highlighted in the center) to highlight it.
2. The host taps "Wireless" again to select it.
3. To play a Vs Play Wireless game, the host taps "Wireless" once (it should already be highlighted).
4. To send a downloadable Demo, the host taps "Demo" twice (once to highlight it and again to select it).
3. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "Planet Puzzle League", the guests tap on it.
6. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
7. For "Wireless": when the host's DS says that all guests trying to connect are connected, the host taps "Cut Off" in the lower half of the screen.
Game/Feature/Options Selection
1. The guest(s) select their hold style (Vert. or Horiz.) by tapping the top green set of left and right arrows (Vert. is the default).
2. The guest(s) select their handedness (Right or Left) by tapping the bottom green set of left and right arrows (Right is the default).
3. After selecting hold style and handedness, the guest(s) click "Next" near the bottom of the touch screen twice (once to highlight it and again to select it).
4. The host selects the battle mode (Garbage, Clear, or Score) by tapping the top green set of left and right arrows (Garbage is the default).
4a. Garbage: Battle with other players to be the last one standing. Form combos and chains to dorp garbage on your foes!
4b. Clear: Eliminate all the blocks above the Clear line first to win!
4c. Score: Battle to see who can earn the most points in 2 minutes. The player with the most points wins!
5. The host selects the item status (On or Off) by tapping the bottom green set of left and right arrows (Off is the default).
6. After selecting battle mode and item status, the host clicks "Next" near the bottom of the touch screen twice (once to highlight it and again to select it).
7. The host selects their level (Beginner, Normal, or Hard) by tapping the top green set of left and right arrows (Beginner is the default).
8. The host selects the background image (from ten options) by tapping the middle green set of left and right arrows.
9. The host selects the block design style (from eight options) by tapping the bottom green set of left and right arrows (Default is the default).
10. After selecting the level, image, and blocks, the host clicks "Start" near the bottom center of the touch screen twice (once to highlight it and again to select it.
11. The guest(s) select their level (Beginner, Normal, or Hard) by tapping the green set of left and right arrows (Beginner is the default).
12. After selecting their level, the guest(s) click "Start" near the bottom center of the touch screen twice (once to highlight it and again to select it.

2. There are four options in the downloadable Demo: How To Play, Options, Score Attack, and Garbage attack.
3. Options: To change the holding option (orientation of the Nintendo DS system), tap "Options" twice (once to highlight it and again to select it).
3a. The options are verticle (holding the Nintendo DS sideways like a book) or horizontal (traditional orientation; one screen above another).
3b. Tap the selected option twice to select it, then tap the selected handedness (right- or left-) twice to select it.
4. How To Play: To view tutroial information on how the game is played, tap "How To Play" twice (once to highlight it and again to select it).
5. Score Attack: A playing mode where you try to see how many points you can earn in two minutes.
6. Garbage Attack: A playing mode where you see how much garbage you can recycle into normal blocks within two minutes.
Game Controls / How To Play
1. Slide a block (touch): Touch the block with the stylus and drag it left or right.
2. Slide a block (buttons): Highlight two adjacent blocks with the cursor and press the "A" button to exchange them.
3. Remove blocks: Connect three (or more) blocks in a row, either horizontally or vertically.
4. Recycle garbage: Remove a chain of three or more blocks that are touching the garbage at the top of the stack.
5. Use an item: Remove a block with an item in it; the item will be used automatically.
What To Look For
1. On the non-touch screen, an opponent's playing field will be displayed.
2. On the non-touch screen, the amount of time elapsed is in the top right corner.
3. On the non-touch screen, the opponent's score (the opponent whose playing field is shown) is beneath the amount of time elapsed.
4. On the non-touch screen, the opponent's current level difficulty (the opponent whose playing field is shown) is beneath the score (Score mode) or amount of time elapsed (other modes).
5. On the touch screen, your playing field is displayed.
6. On the touch screen, your score is on the right edge of the screen, near the top (Score mode).
7. On the touch screen, your current level difficulty is on the right edge of the screen, near the top (beneath the score in Score mode).
8. On the touch screen, the lift button is in the bottom right corner.
1. On the non-touch screen, the amount of time remaining is in the top left corner.
2. On the non-touch screen, the high score is beneath the amount of time remaining.
3. On the non-touch screen, the current score is beneath the high score.
4. On the non-touch screen, the current lift speed is beneath the current score.
5. On the non-touch screen, the current level difficulty is beneath the current lift speed.
6. On the touch screen, the playing field is displayed.
7. On the touch screen, the pause button is near the top right corner.
8. On the touch screen, the lift button is in the bottom right corner.
Overall Goals
1. Garbage: Send garbage at your opponents; survive the longest.
2. Clear: Be the first player to clear all of the blocks above the Clear Line (which starts out below the screen).
3. Score: Achieve the highest score in a two minute time frame.
