Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. When "Touch to Start!" appears on the lower screen, the host taps the word bubble on the lower screen to begin.
Downloading
1. The host taps the "Upload!" word bubble (on the left).
2. When the game asks, "OK to use DS Wireless Communications Mode?", the host taps the on-screen "YES" button (on the right).
3. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "PingPals", the guests tap on it.
6. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
7. When the host's DS says that all guests trying to connect are connected, the host taps "SEND" near the bottom right corner of the screen.
Game/Feature/Options Selection
1. When all guests have completed their download and no more names are on the lower screen, the host taps "DONE" near the bottom left corner of the lower screen.
2. The host taps the "Log in!" word bubble (on the right).
3. When the game asks, "OK to use DS Wireless Communications Mode?", the host taps the on-screen "YES" button (on the right).
4. The host taps any open space on the lower screen.
5. The host taps the "Create" button in the bottom right corner of the lower screen.
1. When "Touch to Start!" appears on the lower screen, the guest(s) tap the word bubble on the lower screen to begin.
2. When the game asks, "OK to use DS Wireless Communications Mode?", the guest(s) tap the on-screen "YES" button (on the right).
3. After the host creates the room, the guest(s) tap on the space on their lower screen(s) with the numbers in it.
4. The guest(s) then tap the "Join" button in the bottom right corner of the lower screen.
Game Controls / How To Play
1. Tap the "T" in the far left bubble above the message screen (it will be colored in blue when selected).
2. Type in the message using the on-screen keyboard.
3. Send a message by tapping the "send" button on the far right of the keyboard.
1. Tap the pencil in the second bubble from the left above the message screen (it will be colored in yellow and pink when selected).
2. Draw in the message screen using the stylus.
3. Select an eraser by tapping the pencil in the second bubble from the left above the message screen and the pencil is already selected.
4. Erase by drawing a line of the existing drawing.
5. Switch back by tapping the eraser in the second bubble from the left above the message screen.
6. Send a message by tapping the "send" button on the far right of the keyboard.
Game/Credits Selection...
1. The host taps on the baloon with the squares in it (the third from the left / second from the right).
2. To access the credits, the host taps the middle bar on the bottom row to view the credits; guest(s) can also view the credits this way.
3. To access Multiplayer Doodle (a game), the host taps the far right bar on the top row.
4. To access Multiplayer Hot Potato (a game), the host taps the far right bar on the bottom row.
Playing Multiplayer Doodle...
1. The game will provide all players with a category.
2. The game will then tell the player whose turn it is to draw that they are in the doodle seat.
3. The game will then tell that player exactly what to draw.
4. The player in the doodle seat taps the pencil in the second bubble from the left above the message screen (it will be colored in yellow and pink when selected).
5. The player in the doodle seat draws their picture(s) in the message screen and then taps the on-screen "send" button.
6. All other players tap the pencil in the second bubble from the left above the message screen (it will be colored in yellow and pink when selected).
7. All other players begin tapping their guesses into the on-screen keyboard and tapping the on-screen "send" button after each guess is entered.
8. When a player makes a correct guess, coins are awarded and the game selects the next player to be in the doodle seat.
9. After the fifth round, the game is over and the winner is declared.
Playing Multiplayer Hot Potato...
1. A bomb will appear on the upper screen of one of the guests.
2. That player taps the word "PASS" (without the quotations) onto the keyboard and then presses the on-screen "send" button.
3. Another player will receive the bomb and that player now has to pass it along.
4. The player that ends up with the bomb when it explodes is the loser.
What To Look For
1. On the upper screen, your profile is shown in the top left corner.
2. On the upper screen, your current coin total (applicable to game-owners only) is in the top right corner of the screen.
3. On the upper screen, the chat box (with already-sent text) is on the right side of the screen.
4. On the upper screen, the profile of the person who sent the currently-highlighted message is near the bottom left corner, attached to the chat box.
5. On the lower screen, the typing bubble ("T") is the far left bubble near the top left corner.
6. On the lower screen, the drawing bubble (a pencil or an eraser) is to the right of the drawing bubble.
7. On the lower screen, the game bubble (several squares) is to the right of the drawing bubble.
8. On the lower screen, the camera bubble (a camera) is to the right of the game bubble (GAME OWNERS ONLY).
9. On the lower screen, the message screen is on the left side, beneath the four bubbles.
10. On the lower screen, the names of the connected players are listed to the right of the message screen.
11. On the lower screen, if there are more names than can be displayed at once, the scroll bar (a vertical black line with an orange dot on it) is to the left of the names.
12. On the lower screen, to ignore messages from a particular person, tap the green circle to the left of their name to turn it into a slashed red circle (tap again to undo).
13. On the lower screen, the keyboard is in the bottom half of the screen.
14. On the lower screen, the "send" button is on the far right side of the row #3.
15. On the lower screen, the first button on row #1 and row #3 are the swap keys buttons.
15a. These buttons will change, depending on which keyboard keys are displayed.
15b. "ABC" will make all of the keyboard keys into capital letters.
15c. "abc" will make all of the keyboard keys into lowercase letters.
15d. "!@#" will make all of the keyboard keys into symbols and smileys.
16. On the lower screen, the red arrow in the bottom left corner is the QUIT/EXIT button.
17. On the lower screen, the blue arrow in the top left corner allows game owners to buy accessories for their profile (GAME OWNERS ONLY).
18. On the lower screen, the orange arrow in the top right corner allows game owners to change their profile's attributes (GAME OWNERS ONLY).
19. On the lower screen, the green arrow in the bottom right corner allows game owners to change text color, and adjust SFX, Music, Backlight, and camera options (GAME OWNERS ONLY).
