Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. When "Press Start" appears on the lower screen, the host taps anywhere on the lower screen.
Downloading
1. The host taps on "Pac-Man Vs." once (it should already be highlighted).
2. The host taps on the giant yellow circle containing "Wireless Vs" (in the center of the screen).
3. The host then taps on "Create" once (it should already be highlighted).
4. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
5. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
6. When the graphic bar appears saying "Pac-Man Vs.", the guests tap on it.
7. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
8. When the host's DS says that all guests trying to connect are connected, the host taps "Confirm" in the bottom left corner of the lower screen.
1. The host taps on "Demo" twice.
2. The host taps on the game they are sending as a demo twice.
3. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "??? Demo" (the ??? being replaced with the name of the selected game), the guests tap on it.
6. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
Game/Feature/Options Selection
1. The host will select the target number of points - 7000, 10000, or 15000 - The pre-highlighted default is 7000.
2. The host taps their desired selection to chooser it.
3. Next, each player selects the board design they wish to battle on.
NOTE: The five selectable boards are titled Original, Blocks, Outer Space, Volcano, and Lib Rab Woods.
4. If the different players selected different boards, the game will determine the board out of those selected.

Game Controls / How To Play - Pac-Man Vs.
1. Movement is controlled by using the direction pad (up, down, left, and right).
2. In a game with less than four players, computer-controlled ghosts are neutral (gray).
3. Gray ghosts are immaterial and cannot touch (or kill) Pac-Man.
4. If a gray ghost comes in contact with a human-controlled ghost, the gray ghost's color will change to match that of the human.
5. If a computer-controlled (not gray) ghost kills Pac-Man, the human with the corresponding color receives the credit and the points and becomes the next Pac-Man.
6. Points are scored by eating dots (Pac-Man), completing the current board (Pac-Man), eating fruit (Pac-Man or ghosts), and killing Pac-Man (ghosts).
7. Pieces of fruit will only stay on the screen for four seconds.
8. The first turn, a player will be randomly selected to play as Pac-Man at that player will begin with 1600 points.
9. Each time Pac-Man is defeated, the player that defeated Pac-Man steals 1600 of that player's points and gets to play as Pac-Man next.
10. If a player successfully completes a level, they receive 1600 points as a completion bonus and the board is then restarted.
11. The first player to achieve the selected point target (even if it's mid-level) wins.
What To Look For - Pac-Man Vs.
1. On the upper screen, the mini-screens (in the top left and top right corners) cycle between displaying Pac-Man and a random ghost when playing as Pac-Man.
2. On the upper screen, the mini-screens (in the top left and top right corners) show each of the other two ghosts when playing as a ghost.
3. On the upper screen, the main 3D view of your current location is displayed in the center of the screen.
4. On the upper screen, the current piece of fruit (when available) will be displayed in the oval in the bottom left corner of the screen.
5. On the upper screen, the number of dots remaining on the board will be displayed in the oval in the bottom right corner of the screen.
6. On the lower screen, a classic overhead view of the board is diplayed on the left 2/3 of the screen.
7. On the lower screen, each player's current point total, character, and each computer ghost's color is displayed on the right side of the screen.
Overall Goals - Pac-Man Vs.
1. Score the pre-selected points.
2. Prevent your oppenent(s) from scoring.
