Game Controls / How To Play
1. Blocks are sorted by color/pattern.
2. Blocks are moved vertically or horizontally by dragging them up or down with the stylus.
3. Blocks are removed by launching them into the air and off the top of the screen.
3a. Launching blocks off the top of the screen is the only way to remove them from the board.
3b. If you launch enough blocks off the top of the screen at a time, additional blocks will be dropped on your opponent (Vs).
4. To launch blocks up into the air, you must arrange them so that a chain of three (3) or more of the same block type are in a row.
4a. You can have a chain of three or more of the same block type in a row vertically or horizontally, but NOT diagonally.
4b. Whether the blocks will launch further into the air when arranged horizontally or vertically depends on the Story Book you're playing in.
5. To launch blocks up into the air, they do NOT need to be on the ground.
5a. Launching blocks from the ground will not usually send a lot of blocks off the top of the screen.
5b. Blocks can be launched from mid-air (from an already launched group).
6. To get the most height when launching blocks into the air (and hopefully off the top of the screen)...
6a. Launch height is determined by each Story Book's setup, what's sitting on top of what you're launching, and a Story Book's reaction to your chains.
6b. Launch height is decreased when the chain of 3-or-more-in-a-row are beneath a tall pile that is weighing them down.
7. If you can continually launch a group of blocks before it hits the ground, the height and speed will keep increasing.
8. If you have blocks beneath a group that is up in the air, you can throw those blocks up at the group with the stylus.
8a. In some Story Books, this will make the group go higher into the air.
8b. In some Story Books, this will make the group stay in the air longer, but won't raise the group any higher.
8c. In some Story Books, this will not affect how long the group is in the air.
8d. If you do this and it makes a new chain of 3-or-more-in-a-row, it will relaunch the entire floating group.
9. Some special blocks will fall along with the standard blocks...
9a. Replacing Blocks (a pouring paint can) - double-click this block to replace all blocks of one color with blocks of another one color (random)
9b. Rocket Blocks (a launching rocket) - double click to launch the rocket (and everything above and attached) off thetop of the screen
9c. Wild Blocks (a yellow star) - counts as all block types at the same time when it comes to connecting three in a row
10. The more successful you are in launching blocks off the top of the screen, the quicker your Special Gauge will fill up.
10a. The Special Gauge is located along the left edge of the screen near the bottom left corner.
10b. When the Special Gauge fills up, a banner will cross the top edge of the screen to let you know.
10c. When the Special Gauge is full, you will have access to the Special Ability that you selected before the game began.
10d. To activate the Special Ability, tap on the Special Gauge when it is full.
11. When you are playing Vs against multiple opponents (human or computer controlled), you can choose to target your attacks against a particular opponent.
11a. In the top left corner of the touch screen, a micro-sized version of all of your opponents' game boards is displayed.
11b. The words "Auto Target" will be blinking on each of the screensby default.
11c. The colored borders around the screens will match each player's Team Color setting.
11d. To focus all of your attacks on one of your opponents, tap on their corresponding screen.
11e. The blinking "Auto Target" should disappear from the screens and a blinking "Target" will appear on the screen you tapped.
11f. To switch to a different target, simply tap another opponent's screen.
11g. To return to "Auto Target" mode, tap on whichever opponent's screen has "Target" blinking on it.
11h. If the opponent you're targeting is eliminated, the game will automatically revert to "Auto Target" mode.
12. If you need to pause the game, press the Start button.
