Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. When "Touch Screen To Start" appears on the lower screen, the host taps anywhere on the lower screen or presses the "A" button or the Start button.
4. If this is the first time the game has been played, the host will be prompted to create a profile.
4a. The default name is "PLAYER".
4b. The default name can be accepted by tapping "OK" near the bottom right corner of the lower screen.
4c. The default name can be rejected by tapping "Clear" near the bottom left corner of the lower screen.
4d. Letters (but no numbers) can be entered by writing the letter of their choice in the large beige square in the bottom center of the lower screen.
4e. A letter can be erased by tapping "Clear" or by drawing a line in the square from right to left.
4f. A blank space can be inserted by drawing a line from left to right.
4g. When the profile name is entered as desired, the host can tap "OK" (near the bottom right corner of the lower screen).
Downloading
1. The host taps "Multiplayer" (the second option from the top).
2. The host taps "Share A Game" (the bottom option).
3. The host taps "OK" (the button on the left).
3. The guest will power on their Nintendo DS system.
4. The guest taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
5. When the graphic bar appears saying "Jumble Madness", the guest taps on it.
6. The guest's DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
7. When the host's DS says that all guests trying to connect are connected, the host taps "Start" in the center of the screen.
Game/Feature/Options Selection
1. The game demo will load up showing a calendar, with all of the days blacked out except for the current date, the prvious day, and the upcoming day.
2. To select one of the three downloaded puzzles, tap on the chosen date on the calendar and then tap "Start" at the bottom center of the screen.
NOTE: A puzzle can also be selected by double-tapping tapping on the date in the calendar.
Game Controls / How To Play
1. Each of the four initial words will have their letters scrambled above the spaces they need to be put into.
2. To place a letter, drag the letter into the empty square of your choice.
3. If a letter is dropped onto another letter, the two letters will switch places.
4. After one of the initial words is completed, a modifier (5X, 4X, 3X, 2X, or 1X) will appear beside the completed word.
5. After all four words have been completed, the main puzzle will be shown.
5. The drawing and the text will be shown on the upper screen and the text will be shown again on the lower screen.

What To Look For
During the solving of the initial four words...
1. On the upper screen, the puzzle's picture/text will appear on the right half.
2. On the upper screen, the timer is in the middle of the left half.
3. On the upper screen, the current score in shown beneath the time.
4. On the upper screen, the current Time Bonus (modifier) is shown at the bottom of the left half.
5. On the lower screen, the four initial words are on the left half.
6. On the lower screen, the "Hint" button (to fill in the highlighted letter space at the cost of 15 points) is the top button in the right half.
7. On the lower screen, the "Give Up" button (to quit the current puzzle) is the bottom button in the right half.
8. On the lower screen, the in-game instructions can be accessed by tapping the question mark in the bottom right corner.
During the solving of the main puzzle...

3. On the upper screen, the current Time Bonus (modifier) is shown at the bottom of the left half.

6. On the lower screen, the puzzle's text is displayed in the text box (in the center of the screen).
7. On the lower screen, the puzzle is beneath the text box.
8. On the lower screen, the "Hint" button (to fill in the highlighted letter space at the cost of 15 points) is in the bottom left corner.
9. On the lower screen, the "Give Up" button (to quit the current puzzle) is near the bottom right corner.
10. On the lower screen, the in-game instructions can be accessed by tapping the question mark in the bottom right corner.
