Hint #1 - Points & Gold Grab: Bottoms' Up!
Save yourself some time while playing. If you aim to flip the lowest jewels in the puzzle to gold first, additional chains will be created above, flipping some of the other jewels to gold automatically. In fact...
Hint #2 - Points & Gold Grab: Another Link In The...
...Chains can come in pretty handy. There may be times when you can drag a piece in two different directions. Take a (quick) look and determine if one of the two will remove more jewels and/or create additional chains after the above jewels drop down.
Hint #3 - Points & Gold Grab: The Old Switcheroo
There may be also times when you really need to create chains in a specific spot, but there aren't enough of the needed pieces. Instead of looking at what you don't have try focusing on what you do have. See a piece to the side (or above or below) you need to move one spot? Try dragging it there even if it doesn't complete a chain. You never know... the other piece (the one you'e moving out of the spot) may complete a chain you didn't even see, and then you're one step closer. If not, it'll just flip back.
Hint #4 - Buried: Rubble & Error
When it comes to uncovering the jewel hidden in the rock, the only way to discover what it is is through trial and error. Making lists can helps, but can slow you down. Because the two hidden jewels aren't near each other, moving around the jewels near onr of them won't usually effect the jewels near the other. Focus on one of them (it doesn't matter which one) and try the jewel types one at a time, After the first one is solved, work on the other. That way, it's easier to keep straight which jewel types you've tried on which hidden jewel.
Hint #5 - Buried: Ignore All Else
When playing Buried, don't worry about points. Don't worry aboult flipping jewels to gold. None of that matters. The only thing that matters is the two hidden jewels - and nothing else!
