Hint #1 - Vary Your Attacks
Each robot is equipped with four types of attacks: basic attacks, gun attacks, bomb attacks, and pod attacks. While it's OK to learn them one at a time in order to maximize the damage the damage dealt by each one, it's not a wise idea to idea restrict yourself to any one or two of the attack types. Experiment with them all and work on learning how best to use them in conjuction with each other. Using all four attacks types will enable you to not only deal more damage, but it will also allow you to deal damage constantly throughout the battle.
Hint #2 - Look The Way You Want To Look!
Custom Robo Arena's Single-Card Download battle offers you two different viewpoints from which to watch the battle: one is from overheard with a slow rotation and the other is closer to a first-person perspective, placing you behind your robot at all times. While different viewing angles can be seen as as aesthetic touch, it can also be a deal breaker. Make sure you're comfortable with the viewing angle you're using. If not, you'll be more susceptable to attacks by your opponent.
Hint #3 - Mind The Barriers
Shooting angles will be hindered by blocks and barriers on the playing field. Some are destructable, but most are not. Be aware of your targeting be sure to avoid shooting the barriers by accident. One single missed shot can open the door for you to get blasted into oblivion.
Hint #4 - Bombing Backlash
Some of your bomb and pod attacks can damage you as well. Each one has a different range and effect, and you should know how you want to attack when selecting your components.
