Basic Setup

1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.

2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.

Downloading

1. Tap on "Multi-Player" (the bottom option).

2. Tap on "OK" (the top option) twice.

3. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.

4. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.

5. When the graphic bar appears saying "Candace Kane's Candy Factory", the guests tap on it.

6. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".

7. When the host's DS says that the guests trying to connect is connected, the host taps "Accept" on the right side of the screen.

8. When "Continue" appears across the bottom of the lower screen, the host taps the lower screen.

8. When "Continue" appears near the bottom right corner of the lower screen, the host taps on the word ("Continue").

Game Controls / How To Play

1. Swapping Candy: tap on two pieces of candy and the two pieces will swap locations

1a. The pieces of candy can be anywhere on the conveyer belt.

1b. The pieces of candy can be on the hold spots (along the bottomn edge of the lower screen, to the right of

2. Stacking Cube Licorice: tap on two pieces of cube licorice (flat, pink squares) and they will stack on the second cube licorice tapped (this earns bonuses)

NOTE: Cube licorice can be stacked up to four (4) deep.

3. Collect An Order: put pieces of candy in an order matching a customer's request on the upper screen

NOTE: When an order is collected, the pieces of candy in the order will remove themselves from the conveyer belt and be in a bag at the top of the lower screen.

4. Wrapping An Order: tap on a collected order (brown bag) at the top of the lower screen, and then tap on the candy wrapper (left edge of the lower screen)

NOTE: When an order is wrapped, the collected order (brown bag) will turn into a wrapped order (purple gift box) in the same spot.

5. Present An Order: tap on a collected order (brown bag) or wrapped order (purple gift box) and then tap on the up arrow near the top right corner of the lower screen

NOTE: When an order is presented, the order and the customer will vanish and money (gold coin) will replace the order.

6. Put Away The Money: tap on the money (gold coin) and it will disappear and another customer will show up

7. Pause The Conveyer Belt: tap on the pause lever (near the top right corner of the screen)

8. Collect Sale Items: if three of the same pieces of candy are put in a row, they will be removed from the belt and a small amount of money will be earned

9. Candy Coater Bonus: candy that has passed through the candy coater (in the middle of the conveyer belt) will look slightly different and will be worth more

What To Look For

1. On the upper screen, the countdown timer is in the top left corner.

2. On the upper screen, the Sugar Rush Meter is along the top edge of the screen.

3. On the upper screen, the medal goal and current score are beneath the Sugar Rush Meter.

4. On the upper screen, the customers at the counter are in the center of the screen.

5. On the upper screen, the curstomers' orders are on the bottom third of the screen.

6. On the lower screen, the conveyer belt is shown.

7. On the lower screen, your opponent's score is in the top left corner.

8. On the lower screen, the collected orders, wrapped orders, and money appear along the upper edge of the screen to the right of your opponent's score.

9. On the lower screen, the candy wrapper is on the left center of the screen.

10. On the lower screen, the pause lever is near the top right corner (beneath the arrow).

11. On the lower screen, the candy coater is in the center of the screen.

Overall Goals

1. Score higher profits than your opponent.

2. Make the most customers happy.

3. Don't lose any customers.
