Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. The game will ask the preffered language (English, French, or Spanish). Tap on the desired choice.
4. When "Press Start To Continue" appears on the lower screen, the host presses the Start button.
Downloading
1. The host taps "Single-Card Play" (the bottom bar on the list).
2. The guest will power on their Nintendo DS system.
3. The guest taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
4. When the graphic bar appears saying "Burnout Legends", the guest taps on it.
5. The guest's DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
6. Donwloading of the demo will begin automatically.
Game/Feature/Options Selection
1. The game will ask guests the preffered language (English, French, or Spanish). Tap on the desired choice.
2. At the demo's main menu, tap "Options" (the bottom bar on the list).
3. The sound effects volume level ("SFX Volume"), tap anywhere on the grid (the number of boxes filled = the percentage of maximum volume).
4. Tap on the middle bar to toggle between miles per hour (MPH) and kilometers per hour (KPH).
5. To decide on a control scheme, tap "Controls" (the bottom bar on the list).
5a. To select Control Type A, tap on "Type A" (the top bar on the list).
5b. To select Control Type B, tap on "Type B" (the bottom bar on the list).

Beginning A Game
1. To begin a single-player game from the demo's main menu, guests tap "Single Player" (the top bar on the list).
2. To begin a multi-player game, the host taps "Multiplayer" (the middle bar on the list) while at the main menu.
3. The host taps "Host Single-Card Play Game" (the bottom bar on the list).
4. The guest then taps "Multiplayer" (the middle bar on the list) while at the main menu.
5. A list of waiting games (labeled by system name and followed with 1/2) will become available on the guest's lower screen.
NOTE: The "1/2" indicates the one of a maximum of 2 players (the host) is already connected.
6. The guest taps on the game they wish to join.
7. On the host's lower screen, the bottom bar should read "2/2 players" (indicating that the players are connected).
8. The host then taps on "Start Game" (the top bar on the list).

1. Accelerate: "A" button

What To Look For
1. On the upper screen, your current position in the race is in the top left corner of the screen.
2. On the upper screen, the current lap number is in the top right number of the screen.
3. On the upper screen, the current speed is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen.
4. On the upper screen, the majority of the screen is a third-person perspective of the car you're driving.
5. On the lower screen, the map of the city/race route is displayed.
Overall Goals
2. Cause other cars to crash.
