Basic Setup
1. With the power off, the host loads the game cartridge into their Nintendo DS system.
2. The host powers their system on, then taps on the "Warning" screen and then on the graphic for the game.
3. When "Touch to start!" appears on the lower screen, the host taps anywhere on the lower screen.
4. If this is the first time the game has been played (all four squares say "Create Profile"), a new profile will need to be created.
5. If a profile already exists, the host taps on the profile.
Downloading
1. The host selects Compatibility (the middle row, on the left) or Multiplayer (the middle row, on the right).
NOTE: If Compatibility is selected, the host must then tap on "DS Download Play" (the bottom bar).
2. The guest(s) will power on their Nintendo DS system.
3. The guest(s) tap on the "Warning" screen and then on the "DS Download Play" button.
4. When the graphic bar appears saying "Brain Assist", the guests tap on it.
5. The guests' DS systems will ask "Would you like to download this software? Tap "Yes".
6. When the host's DS says that all guests trying to connect are connected, the host taps "Start" in the bottom right corner of the lower screen.
Game/Feature/Options Selection - Prior To Selecting A Game: Compatibility
1. All players will be asked to select an avatar icon from a selection of 28 choices (on two pages, accessable via the arrows at the bottom center of the lower screen).
2. Players select their avatar icon by tapping on their choice (multiple players can select the same icon).
3. There are four stages in the Compatability program.
6. In stage three, the game will be Characterhunt (tap on a game name for details).
7. In stage four, the game will be Count-Mania (tap on a game name for details).
Game/Feature/Options Selection - Prior To Selecting A Game: Multiplayer
1. All players will be asked to select an avatar icon from a selection of 28 choices (on two pages, accessable via the arrows at the bottom center of the lower screen).
2. Players select their avatar icon by tapping on their choice (multiple players can select the same icon).
3. The host will be asked to decide whether four multiplayer mini games will be selected at random or whether they will be selected.
4. To have the game choose four games at random, the host taps "Shuffle" (the top bar).
5. To select the mini games to be played, the host taps Custom (the bottom bar).
