DSSingleCard.com
The simple answer: It's a way to play Nintendo DS games with up to 16 people while only possessing one copy of a game.
The more complete answer is a little lengthier, but a lot more descriptive...
On the Nintendo DS portable gaming system, there are three (3) ways to play multi-player games.
1. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
2. Wireless DS Multi-Card Play
3. Wireless DS Single-Card Download Play
Games with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection can be played online with people around the Internet. As long as an applicable Nintendo DS game
is loaded, and either (1) you are at home with a wireless broadband network (Cable/DSL Internet + a wireless router), (2) you are at home and have
Cable/DSL Internet and have a "Nintendo DS Wi-Fi USB Connector" plugged into the USB drive of a computer hooked up to the Internet and are within range
of it, or (3) are playing within range of a Hot Spot with Free Wi-Fi access, such as a McDonalds, a cybercafe, etc.
Games with Wireless DS Multi-Card Play allow people to play games while either working together (cooperative play, a.k.a. Co-op play) or
facing off against each other (head-to-head play, a.k.a. Vs Play) as long as each player has their own copy of the game. Players can have their
Nintendo DS systems as far away from each other as 30 to 100 feet, depending on local conditions.
Games with Wireless DS Single-Card Download Play allow people to play games while either working together (cooperative play, a.k.a. Co-op
play) or facing off against each other (head-to-head play, a.k.a Vs play). Single-Card Download (SCD) is different from Multi-Card Play in that only
one (1) person needs to have a copy of the game. SCD features can include: Co-op Play, Vs Play, Mini Games, Demos, and more. Some of the games
require that the person who has the game in their system (the "host") stay a part of the game, while other games allow the person who has the game in
their system to leave while the people that downloaded the game (the "guests") keep playing. Just like Multi-Card Play, players can have their
Nintendo DS systems as far away from each other as 30 to 100 feet, depending on local conditions.
