Game Settings (Prior To Playing) - President
1. The host must determine the number of player; the default number is four.
2. To decrease the number of players, tap the left black arrow near the center of the screen or press left on the direction pad.
3. To increase the number of players, tap the right black arrow near the center of the screen or press right on the direction pad.
4. The number selected must be the number of human players or greater (other players will be computer-controlled).
5. To select the currently highlighted number of players, tap the numer in the center of the screen or pressthe "A" button.
Game Controls / How To Play - President
1. In President, players try to be the first to run out of cards.
2. A hand of cards will be dealt out to each player.
3. Players can begin a round by playing any of the following hand categories...
3a. Category 1: A single card of the player's choice
3b. Category 2: Two or more of the same card.
3c. Category 3: Three to five of cards that are in consecutive order and are of the same suit (spades, hearts, clubs, or diamonds).
4. When a hand is begun, the players that follow must play cards of the same type that match the category the hand falls into and they must be higher in value.
5. To select cards, tap on the cards you wish to select and they'll raise up slightly higher than the other cards.
6. To submit the selected cards, tap "OK" on the right side of the lower screen.
7. If a player cannot play any higher value cards in the same category, they must pass.
8. If a player must pass (or chooses to pass), they tap "Pass" on the right side of the lower screen.
9. In between rounds, players will trade cards out of their hands for the upcoming round.
10. Whenever a player plays all four cards of the same type, there is a Revolution.
11. In a Revolution, card values are reversed.
12. After another Revolution, card values will return to normal.
What To Look For - President
1. On the upper screen, each opponent's remaining cards are visually displayed.
2. On the lower screen, cards that have been played so far in this hand are displayed in the top right corner.
3. On the lower screen, your current hand of card is displayed along the bottom edge of the screen.
4. On the lower screen, the "OK" and "Pass" buttons are displayed in the middle right side of the screen.
Overall Goals - President
1. Run out of cards first.
2. Play cards that make it difficult for other players to follow up.
Game Hints - President
1. Three-of-a-kinds and four-of-a-kinds are generally hard to follow up on and help to clear the screen quickly.
2. Don't forget to look for those straights to help clear your hand quicker!
