Game Settings (Prior To Playing) - Crazy 8's
1. The host must determine the number of player; the default number is four.
2. To decrease the number of players, tap the left black arrow near the center of the screen or press left on the direction pad.
3. To increase the number of players, tap the right black arrow near the center of the screen or press right on the direction pad.
4. The number selected must be the number of human players or greater (other players will be computer-controlled).
5. To select the currently highlighted number of players, tap the numer in the center of the screen or pressthe "A" button.
Game Controls / How To Play - Crazy 8's
1. At the beginning of the game, five (5) cards are dealt to each of the players.
2. The first player must play a card that matches the suit of the card on the top of the draw pile.
3. Each of the other players must follow up by playing another card of the same suit.
4. If a player does not have a card of the matching suit, they will automatically have cards drawn for them until they have a card they can play.
5. After all four players have played a card, the player that played the highest card wins the current hand and plays any card from their hand to open the next hand.
6. When a player has two cards left, they must tap the "Last Card" icon before playing a card or they will incur a five (5) card penalty.
7. When the a player runs out of cards, the current round is over and players receive points equal to the total value on the cards they still hold.
What To Look For - Crazy 8's
1. On the upper screen, the number of cards each opponent holds is displayed visually.
2. On the upper screen, the point totals from the previous game(s) are displayed in the center of the screen.
3. On the lower screen, your current hand of cards is displayed in the bottom center of the screen.
4. On the lower screen, the draw deck and the play field are in the top half of the screen.
Overall Goals - Crazy 8's
1. Run out of cards first.
2. Win as many hands as possible.
3. Play cards that will force opponents to draw.
Game Hints - Crazy 8's
1. Aces, Kings, and Jokers are your best bet to win hands that you start.
2. If an opponent has to draw carts for a particular suit until they get one they can play, they'll still be left without cards of that suit.
