Game Controls / How To Play - Track & Field
1. Before beginning, press the Select button to "put in quarters for credits".
2. To begin playing the game, press the Start button.
3. Before starting, players must enter their names.
3a. Press the "Y" and "A" buttons to move to specific characters.
3b. Press the "B" button to accept the currently highlighted character.
4. 100m Dash - : Repeatedly press the "A" button or the "Y" button to run.
5. Long Jump - : Repeatedly press the "A" button or the "Y" button to run.
6. Long Jump - : Just before the athlete steps on the white line, press the "B" button to jump.
7. Long Jump - : The longer the "B" button is pressed the higher the angle of the jump will become.
8. Javelin Throw - : Repeatedly press the "A" button or the "Y" button to run.
9. Javelin Throw - : Just before the athlete steps on the white line, press the "B" button to throw.
10. Javelin Throw - : The longer the "B" button is pressed the higher the angle of the throw will become.
11. 110m Hurdles - : Repeatedly press the "A" button or the "Y" button to run.
12. 110m Hurdles - : Just before the athlete approaches each hurdle, press the "B" button to jump.
13. Hammer Throw - : Press the "A" button or "Y" button for the athlete to begin spinning.
14. Hammer Throw - : Before the athlete leaves the circle and while he's facing the right direction, press the "B" button to throw.
15. High Jump - : Press the "A" button or "Y" button for the athlete to begin running.
16. High Jump - : Just before the athlete approaches the bar, press the "B" button to jump.
17. High Jump - : During the jump, press the "B" button when needed to change movement angles.
What To Look For - Track & Field
1. On the upper screen, the gameplay is displayed.
2. On the upper screen, the players' scores are in the box in the top left corner.
3. On the upper screen, the high scores (world records) in the current sport are in the box in the top right corner.
4. On the upper screen, the current times/distances are shown beneath the box with the players' scores.
5. On the upper screen, the qualifying time/distance and the amount of time elapsed is shown beneath the box with the world records.
6. On the upper screen, the players' average speeds are shown between lanes (100m Dash, 110m Hurdles).
7. On the upper screen, the players' average speeds are shown beneath the running lane (Long Jump, Javelin Throw, Hammer Throw).
8. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the PAUSE button is in the bottom left corner.
9. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the RESET button is in the bottom center.
10. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the EXIT button is in the bottom right corner.
11. On the lower screen (Demo), the screen orientation button is in the top left corner of the screen.
NOTE: The only screen orientation button is LATERAL FULL.
12. On the lower screen (Demo), the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left.
13. On the lower screen (Demo), the RESET button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center.
14. On the lower screen (Demo), the EXIT button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right.
15. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), a duplication of the DS's buttons and Direction Pad is shown, indicating when buttons are pushed (guest).
16. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left (guest).
17. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the RESET button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center (guest).
18. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the EXIT button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right (host and guest).
Overall Goals - Track & Field
1. Score the most points.
2. Stay alive/active the longest.
Game Hints - Track & Field
1. Remember that winning an event doesn't mean you move on: you have to achieve the minimum qualifying times/distances.
2. Take your time in between events to make sure that your hand recovers from the repeated tapping enough to be ready for the next event.

Replay Controls / How To Watch - Track & Field
1. While watching a replay, a previously played game will be shown.
2. The only options are to pause the replay, rewind the replay, stop the replay (quit), or change the screen orientation.
3. To pause the replay, tap the on-screen "PAUSE" button.
4. To rewind the replay, tap the on-screen "REWIND" button.
5. To stop the replay, tap the on-screen "STOP" button (this will exit the replay and require the system to be turned off).
6. To make the upper screen show the action using the entire upper screen, tap the "LATERAL FULL" button.
What To Look For - Track & Field
1. On the upper screen, the replay will be shown.
2. On the upper screen, the players' scores are in the box in the top left corner.
3. On the upper screen, the high scores (world records) in the current sport are in the box in the top right corner.
4. On the upper screen, the current times/distances are shown beneath the box with the players' scores.
5. On the upper screen, the qualifying time/distance and the amount of time elapsed is shown beneath the box with the world records.
6. On the upper screen, the players' average speeds are shown between lanes (100m Dash, 110m Hurdles).

11. On the lower screen, the REWIND button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left.
12. On the lower screen, the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center.
