Game Controls / How To Play - Road Fighter
1. Before beginning, press the Select button to "put in quarters for credits".
2. To begin playing the game, press the Start button.
3. Steer: Press left or right on the direction pad.
4. Accelerate - Low Gear: Press and hold the "B" button.
5. Accelerate - High Gear: Press and hold the "A" button.
6. Switching Gears: To switch from Low to High Gear, begin holding the "A" button while still holding the "B" button, then release the "B" button.
What To Look For - Road Fighter
1. On the upper screen, the gameplay is displayed.
2. On the upper screen, the car's progression will be shown on the chart along the top edge of the screen.
3. On the upper screen, the high score is shown in the top right corner.
4. On the upper screen, Player 1's score is beneath the high score.
5. On the upper screen, Player 2's score is beneath Player 1's score.
6. On the upper screen, the car's current rank is shown beneath the score.
7. On the upper screen, the amount of time elapsed on the current course is shown beneath the car's current rank.
8. On the upper screen, the number of cars passed on the current course is shown beneath the time elapsed.
9. On the upper screen, the current speed (in kilometers per hour) is shown beneath the number of cars passed.
10. On the upper screen, the RPM (revolutions per minute) and Fuel levels are shown on the charts near the bottom right corner.
11. On the upper screen, the total distance covered in all parts of the course so far is in the bottom right corner.
12. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the PAUSE button is in the bottom left corner.
13. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the RESET button is in the bottom center.
14. On the lower screen (Co-op Game), the EXIT button is in the bottom right corner.
15. On the lower screen (Demo), the four screen orientation buttons are in and near the top left corner of the screen.
NOTE: In order, the screen orientation buttons are LATERAL FULL, LATERAL ASPECT RATIO, VERTICAL RIGHT TOP, and VERTICAL LEFT TOP.
16. On the lower screen (Demo), the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left.
17. On the lower screen (Demo), the RESET button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center.
18. On the lower screen (Demo), the EXIT button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right.
19. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), a duplication of the DS's buttons and Direction Pad is shown, indicating when buttons are pushed (guest).
20. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the PAUSE button is along the bottom of the screen, to the left (guest).
21. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the RESET button is along the bottom of the screen, in the center (guest).
22. On the lower screen (Dual DS Game), the EXIT button is along the bottom of the screen, to the right (host and guest).
Overall Goals - Road Fighter
1. Score the most points.
2. Stay alive/active the longest.
Game Hints - Road Fighter
1. Watch out for obstacles: water will slow you down, oil and other cars will send you skidding, trucks and curbs will blow you up.
2. Make sure to pick up extra cars; they'll be flashing blue and red.

Replay Controls / How To Watch - Road Fighter
1. While watching a replay, a previously played game will be shown.
2. The only options are to pause the replay, rewind the replay, stop the replay (quit), or change the screen orientation.
3. To pause the replay, tap the on-screen "PAUSE" button.
4. To rewind the replay, tap the on-screen "REWIND" button.
5. To stop the replay, tap the on-screen "STOP" button (this will exit the replay and require the system to be turned off).
6. To make the upper screen show the action in the original aspect ratio (shape), tap the "LATERAL ASPECT RATIO" button (the default).
7. To make the upper screen show the action using the entire upper screen, tap the "LATERAL FULL" button.
8. To make the upper screen show the action with the DS held like a book and the touch screen on the right, tap the "VERTICAL RIGHT TOP" button.
9. To make the upper screen show the action with the DS held like a book and the touch screen on the left, tap the "VERTICAL LEFT TOP" button.
